Illinois Tech is a member of Tuition Exchange, a nonprofit organization of more 600 colleges and universities that agree to a reciprocal scholarship program. Visit www.tuitionexchange.org for a listing of participating schools and more details about how the exchange works. Faculty and staff may apply for an eligible dependent subject to the criteria below. To be a candidate for a tuition exchange scholarship through IIT, a family member must be an eligible employee at IIT. Winning the IIT “lottery” does not automatically guarantee a tuition scholarship at the receiving school. The award depends on the number of scholarships open and the process at the receiving university.
Eligible Faculty/ Staff
Any full-time faculty or staff member meeting the below-listed minimum years of full time employment at IIT by January 1 of the year for which the dependent is a candidate.
- Faculty – 2 years
- Staff – 2 years
Eligible Dependent
- Any born or adopted child of an eligible IIT employee. The child must be a dependent as defined by the IRS. (Appropriate proof may be requested)
