The National Endowment for the Humanities’ Division of Preservation and Access has opened applications for the Cultural and Community Resilience program, a new funding opportunity created as part of the American Tapestry initiative. Open to organizations, the program supports community-based efforts to mitigate the impact of climate change and COVID-19 on communities while safeguarding cultural resources. Through identifying, documenting, and/or collecting cultural heritage and community experience, projects will foster cultural resilience.

The Cultural and Community Resilience program prioritizes projects from historically disadvantaged communities and encourages applications that employ inclusive methodologies. Applications are due January 12, 2023, with an expected notification date of August 31, 2023. More information, including a pre-recorded webinar, is available at neh.gov.
