The Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM) will host a presentation from Samuel Volchenboum, MD, PhD—professor of pediatrics at University of Chicago ad Associate director of ITM, and director of Data for the Common Good—titled “ITM Informatics: Data-driven methods to improve human health” on Friday, April 19, from 3–5 p.m. This event will take place in-person at the Robert A. Pritzker Science Center (PS) – Auditorium Room 111 on the Illinois Institute of Technology campus; however, a virtual option is also available.

Dr. Volchenboum will detail the ITM Informatics 3-part vision: (1) cohort discovery (Leaf), (2) collaborator finder, and (3) sociome-enabled research. To accomplish these aims, we are building on the foundation from the prior ITM grant and informatics work at all the ITM Institutions. Dr. Volchenboum will review the progress to-date and explore the user journeys enabled by these three ecosystems.

The presentation will be held at 3 p.m., followed by a light reception and networking hour at 4 p.m. for in-person attendees.
