Each fall an outstanding senior from each of the four-year degree-granting institutions of higher learning in Illinois is awarded the Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award and thereby becomes a Student Laureate of The Lincoln Academy of Illinois.

The Office of Student Affairs would like to congratulate Genna Gaitan on her selection as the Illinois Lincoln Academy Student Laureate recipient for Illinois Tech. Genna will be recognized for her excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities at The 51st annual Lincoln Academy Student Laureate ceremony on October 18 at the University of Chicago.
