Come join us for the first in our Elevate series, Elevate: Artists, on Thursday, November 6, from 6–9 p.m. at Crown Hall. The amazing Latoya Peterson is going to fly to Chicago to give a lecture on art, game design and entrepreneurship. (She has worked on AAA games, movies and lots more!) Our friend Keisha Howard is a professional game designer and entrepreneur. She is going to give a talk about her work and showcase her fantastic new game Mind Faux. Our friend Solo is also a pro artist who will give an intro on his work and be available for questions.
Our student artist Melaya Thomas, Leila Taylor, and Amani Mohammad will have tables to showcase their paintings and artwork. Young game developers from Astropeaks and the archon experiment will showcase their work.
We have invited game design students from many universities, and we are going to stream a live virtual event on Discord.
Register to attend the event here.
You will have an opportunity to talk to professional, teachers, artists and students who have come to share their experiences. That said, if you know investors or people who can help our artists and game designers grow professionally, please invite them. If you are teaching game design please share this with your students. (Here is a link to this post’s flyer, which was created by a DePaul student.)
We hope you can join us!
