PA 505: Law and The Nonprofit Sector
Wednesdays from 6 – 8:30 pm at Downtown Campus

About: This course is an examination of local, state, and Federal law as it pertains to the nonprofit sector. Topics include the IRS, lobbying, human resources, property, and contracts.

Instructors: Angela Richardson-Bryant has a J.D. as well as a Master of Laws degree. She has practiced law for 20 years in a wide variety of areas, including ethics, compliance, and personnel.

PA 553-01: Public Safety Administration
Mondays from 6 – 8:30 pm at Downtown Campus

About: This course deals with contemporary safety, security and risk management issues for public administrators and public safety professionals in post-9/11 American society. The class will examine the relationship between law enforcement, operations and administration and address various current problems and issues through case studies. Content will focus primarily on the City of Chicago and surrounding metropolitan area.

Instructors: Bill Disselhorst was a Chicago police officer for 31 years, retiring with the rank of lieutenant. Marc Buslik is a captain in the 14th District who has been a CPD officer since 1980.
