Illinois Institute of Technology is proud to announce the winners of the 2012 Alumni Awards.
On April 13, 2012 a luncheon will be held in Hermann Hall to honor the nine winners for their contributions to their professions, to the world, and to IIT. Look for brief biographies on each of these alumni in IIT Today through April 12, 2012.
Winner of the Collens Merit Award is Paul F. Schutt (PHYS ’55), who formed several companies during his distinguished career in nuclear physics. He was named as a fellow of the American Nuclear Society and authored more than 20 articles in such publications as Chemical Week. As a high-level consultant to the U.S. government, Schutt has met most U.S. presidents since Richard Nixon. Schutt was chief executive officer and chairman of Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc., until 2009, when it was acquired by Babcock & Wilcox Company.
