The Honors Medical Society will host speaker Sidney Blatt at 12:50 pm on Tuesday, April 10 in Life Sciences, room 111.  Dr.Sidney Blatt who grew up in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, received his bachelor’s in engineering science from IIT and then went on to Northwestern Medical. He recently retired from his cardiology practice in Utica, NY. His wife, Dr. Susan McNair Blatt, is a pediatrician and medical director of a child welfare agency. She is also the author of a book about medical needs of foster children. Its possible she will attend the event as well.

Blatt will speak about his life as a physician and any significant courses or experiences that he encountered while at IIT that made an impact on his life as a physician.

All aspiring doctors should come out to this event and learn as much as possible. As usual food will be available!
