“One Day On Earth” Global Screening at IIT on Earth Day

One Day on Earth started in September of 2008 with the goal of creating a unique worldwide media event where thousands of participants would simultaneously film over a 24-hour period. Over 60 non-profit organizations participated and have collectively created over 3000 hours of video. The United Nations is a social partner of the project and this April 22 there will be a global screening of the 2012 version of film in more than 80 countries and more than 500 venues, including IIT.

The IIT student organization Lights, Camera, Action! Movie Club, SGA and Union Board will host Chicago’s only screening of One Day on Earth at 4 pm on Earth Day (April 22) in the MTCC Auditorium. The film was created from footage by documentary filmmakers, students, and other inspired citizens who recorded the human experience over a 24-hour period on November 11, 2011, including footage from IIT Architecture Studio Associate Professor Jonathan Miller.

Seating is limited, and registration is required.  Register online here on a first come, first served basis.
