Ana Montelongo, Joshua Rehak, Nicolette Ward and Michael Zhang will represent IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in the seventh annual National Pretrial Competition which takes place October 16-19, 2014 at Stetson University College of Law’s Gulfport campus in Florida.
The competition, which is designed to capture the essence of pretrial motion practice, is co-sponsored by Stetson’s Center for Excellence in Advocacy and the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar.
Montelongo is a second-year student who graduated with honors from DePaul University with a degree in English and Education. She also earned a master’s degree in language and literacy from National Louis University. Team member Nicolette Ward, also a second-year student, earned an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Iowa. Teammate Joshua Rehak is a third-year student who graduated magna cum laude from Lewis University with a degree in political science. Teammate Michael Zhang, also a third-year student, graduated from Calgary University with a degree in political science.
The team is coached by IIT Chicago-Kent alumni Rachel Moran ’08, Charles Prochaska ’10 and Jessica Velez ’12.
