The open-enrollment period has begun for the IIT Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP).

If you would like to enroll, please go online to www.iit.edu/shwc/insurance and click enroll. If you would like to waive enrollment, please visit  wwww.aetnastudenthealth.com/iit and click the “enroll/waive” link.

The spring health insurance charge ($698) will be added to your student account automatically if you are a full-time student (graduate—9 credit hours; law and undergraduate—12 credit hours) or on an F1 or J1 visa.

If you were billed for the SHIP in the fall and would like to waive the spring, complete the insurance waiver. Once your insurance waiver has been approved and processed (up to two weeks), you will receive a credit in the amount of $579.

The waiver and enrollment process is electronic. The deadline to complete the form is January 26, 2015. Questions should be addressed to student.health@iit.edu.
