Illinois Institute of Technology was ranked eighth on a list of distinguished colleges and universities in the United States for engineering by a relatively new college ranking service. The ranking, which appeared in USA Today, comes from College Factual, and is based on Payscale estimates of early-career and mid-career salaries, the number of engineering majors offered at Illinois Tech, the percent of the total Illinois Tech student body that are engineering majors, and other factors such as six-year graduation rate.
