We look forward to seeing you on Friday, September 18, 2015 for the Inauguration of Alan W. Cramb as the ninth president of Illinois Institute of Technology. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3 p.m., and seating inside Hermann Hall will be on a first-come, first-served basis. We are expecting a capacity crowd, so we recommend you arrive early. The auditorium doors will be closed at 2:55 p.m., and late arrivals will not be allowed to enter until after the processional and color guard presentation.
Prior to the ceremony, you are invited to watch the campus-wide faculty processional beginning at 2:25 p.m. as you head to Hermann Hall. The processional will begin with two separate groups at the north and south ends of campus and converge at 33rd Street and Footlik Lane (west of State Street).
Following the ceremony, the celebration will continue in Hermann Hall with a reception and IIT Global Spirit Day, which will feature prizes, giveaways, a prize wheel, photo booth, student organization displays, and much more! Please note: If you’ve already registered for the post-Inauguration reception and IIT Global Spirit Day, you’ll receive a separate email with event details.
