Every other Tuesday evening at the Welcome Center/Prizker Club, located in The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC), Union Board invites a folk/indie/spoken word artist to perform a set for the student body from 7-8 p.m. These Hawks Coffeehouse events include nice food spreads, a cozy atmosphere, and encourage students to come by to sit and relax and get some homework done and wind town their day. On Tuesday, September 29, Katie Wirsing, spoken word performer, musician, and poet, will perform at an event we are deeming “Pancakes and Poetry.” As the name suggests, there will be pancakes and some cool performance art.
