Celebrating the 6th year, TEDxIIT is hosting a “TEDxIIT Conversations” every Thursday in March, where students and alumni of Illinois Tech are invited for an interactive session.
Each week, TEDxIIT will feature one to two former speakers who are either current students or alumni of Illinois Tech.
These conversations will take place on the following Thursdays from 6-8 p.m.: March 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 in Galvin Library, Cherry Conference Room.
The individuals involved with TEDxIIT have a passion for initiating lasting, positive change at Illinois Tech and believe in the power of ideas to change attitudes and lives. The main event on Sunday, April 10, 2016 is open to a live audience and will be live streaming globally. The video will have a permanent digital footprint through the TEDx channel.
TEDxIIT was started by Illinois Tech alumna Amy Lee Segami, an award-winning artist and speaker who was invited to speak at the inaugural TEDxPeachtree in 2009 shortly after TEDx was formed. Segami envisioned that the local event would not only inspire the Illinois Tech community, but also impact global humanity. Learn more here: About TEDxIIT PDF.
