2016 Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Accreditation Process

Dear Members of Illinois Tech Community,

As you know, Illinois Tech periodically goes through a rigorous review that is required by the University’s accreditation process, as specified by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). As part of this process, a review team is expected to visit our campuses in September 2016.

Illinois Tech will submit a report to HLC (called the Accreditation Assurance Document) that outlines arguments on how the University satisfies HLC’s criteria for accreditation. We invite you to review a draft version of that report that was prepared by members of the University Accreditation Committee. We encourage you to provide any feedback/comments on this draft version. Your inputs are valuable and encouraged.

The draft version of the Assurance Document consists of a narrative and evidence to support how well the university satisfies the five criteria and core components set forth by HLC. The evidence files are housed within the HLC Assurance system, so the links to the evidence are not active in the draft version of the Assurance Document.

Sincerely,

University Accreditation Committee
