CS Undergrad Vinesh Kannan Selected for Future Founder Fellowship

Vinesh Kannan (CS 2nd year) has been selected to participate in the 2017 Future Founders Fellowship program. The fellowship will aim to accelerate the development of his startup, Omnipointment, a web and mobile app that allows multiple people to easily schedule meetings.

Future Founders is a dynamic Chicago-based company that aims to engage, equip, and empower student entrepreneurs. Kannan was one of 17 student entrepreneurs from around the nation selected to be part of the company’s year-long fellowship. This cohort will undergo an intensive program that will provide them with priority access to all Future Founders Startup services, in addition to mentorship, entrepreneurship retreats, a peer community, and volunteer opportunities. Through these opportunities, the fellowship aims to encourage participants to more intentionally pursue entrepreneurship in their future career endeavors.

“Joining the Fellowship is a big opportunity to be pushed to work harder by other teams who are balancing their responsibilities as students and founders. I’m looking forward to sharing what I’ve learned at Illinois Tech, especially from IPRO, with the other Fellows,” said Kannan.
