Hillel will host a Lunch ‘N Learn in honor of the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashana on Tuesday, September 12 from 12:50–1:40 p.m. in The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Blue Room. Rosh Hashana, literally “the head of the year,” is the Jewish New Year. The Jewish calendar revolves around the moon and has its own system of 12 months, with the beginning of the cycle around September time. The holiday will take place Wednesday, September 20, through Friday, September 22, continuing into Shabbat. In order to prepare for the new year, Hillel will also be having the traditional apple dipped in honey which signifies the hope for a sweet new year. We hope to see everyone there.
