After a strong week on the court, Jake Digiorgio has been named the Association of Division III Independents Player of the Week. The sophomore received the honor for action between January 2 and January 8.
Digiorgio averaged 18.0 points, 16.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game as the Scarlet Hawks went 1-1 on the week. After nearly recording a double-double against Wabash on January 3, the junior exploded for 28 points and 21 rebounds in a win over Carthage on January 6. The forward went nine-of-16 from the floor in helping lead Illinois Tech to a victory over one of the top Division III teams in the region.
