After enjoying one of the best weeks in program history, Shannon O’Donnell was recognized by the Association of Division III Independents with the AD3I’s Player of the Week award for action between January 1 and January 7.
O’Donnell had a monster week for the Scarlet Hawks, averaging 30.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game. The first year opened the week with 34 points, 14 rebounds and six assists on 12-of-23 shooting against St. Mary-Woods on January 4. The guard capped off the week with 26 points and eight rebounds as Illinois Tech took on fellow AD3I member Maranatha Baptist on January 6. O’Donnell shot 47.8 percent from the floor and played in all 40 minutes in both contests.
Illinois Tech is back in action on Saturday, January 13 at Adrian College at 4:30 p.m.
