Illinois Tech’s Jamie Wurster has been named the Women’s Swimmer of the Week by the Liberal Arts Conference after her strong showing against Lawrence on January 13.

The sophomore had a dominant weekend for the Scarlet Hawks, winning all of her events. Wurster won the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:05.81 and the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 26.65.  She also participated in two relays, taking first place in both the 200 yard Freestyle Relay (1:47.46) and the 200 Yard Medley Relay (1:56.57.)

This is the first weekly award for the Michigan native this season. The Scarlet Hawks are back in action on Saturday, January 20 on the road against Carroll.
