Chun Liu, professor of applied mathematics and chair of the Department of Applied Mathematics, co-organized the workshop, “The Mathematics of Mechanobiology and Cell Signaling,” which took place February 25–March 3 at the Oberwolfach Research Institute for Mathematics in Oberwolfach (MFO), Germany.
MFO is a research institute and meeting point for the world’s leading mathematicians to exchange ideas about the most recent developments in their field, initiate new projects, and connect with young scientists. The institute hosts almost 3,000 scientists from all over the world each year for its weeklong scientific programs, like the one Liu co-organized.
