Illinois Tech goalkeeper Catherine Klemp has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference’s Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for action September 3–9.

Klemp opened both of Illinois Tech’s shutout victories in goal this past weekend, playing the first 80:14 of the September 8 3-0 win over Lake Forest College before playing all 90 minutes in the September 9 1-0 victory against Alma College. The Colorado native organized a defense that did not allow a shot on goal during her time on the field in the first match, followed by a pair of saves during the second match to preserve a tight lead.
