3D Printing and Electronics at Paul V. Galvin Library

The Idea Shop will be closed through Thursday, October 25 during the move to the Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship. Remote file submissions will be accepted.

Many small jobs using PLA can be printed at the Exploration Space in Paul V. Galvin Library. For information on submitting print jobs to the library, click here.

Additionally, students may use small electronics prototyping equipment during Exploration Space open hours, generally:

  • Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m.–11 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1–11 p.m.

It is recommended individuals confirm operational hours before their visit by emailing explorationspace@iit.edu.

The Exploration Space has other services available in addition to 3D printing, including button making and electronic cutting.
