After the Illinois Tech Men’s Soccer team won two shutouts last week to extend its win streak to three matches, the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has named Luke Holzman Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for action September 10–16.

The Downers Grove native registered a goal in each of Illinois Tech’s outings last week as the Scarlet Hawks blanked both Grace Christian (5-0) and MacMurray (2-0). He was also part of a defensive unit that allowed just six shots total and four shots on goal over 180 minutes of action this week. Holzman’s goal against MacMurray was the game-winner.
