Module 5: Building Your Network

Thursday, November 1 from 12:50–1:40 p.m. in Wishnick Hall, Room 113

You can’t start networking unless you know where and how to network. This workshop will give you the tools to connect with contacts and conduct informational interviews. Informational interviews give you a feel for what a career or company is like by learning from an employee’s daily activities, without the pressure so often present in a typical job interview. They can also lead to opportunities for the real deal down the road.

This workshop will also provide an overview of typical U.S. benefits packages and how to weigh job offers beyond the base salary.
