Mixing It Up at IIT!
Exploring Religion and Spirituality
The Commons Cafeteria, Center Pod
Tuesday, October 30, 2012
11:30 am – 1:30 pm
A national campaign launched by Teaching Tolerance over 10 years ago, Mix It Up at Lunch Day encourages students to identify, question and cross social boundaries. The cafeteria has been identified as one of the places where divisions are drawn. This program provides an opportunity for students to move out of their comfort zones and connect with someone new over lunch. This year, IIT will mix it up by taking a closer look into some of the religious and spiritual student organizations on campus.
There are approximately ten religious and spiritual based student organizations on campus and some will participate by having representatives available to answer your questions and provide literature. You are also invited to contribute to the campus “Wall of Inspiration Stars Project”, by creating a star with words of inspiration that are unique to your belief system. Find more information on the Teaching Tolerance program here. We look forward to meeting you.
Please Note: Lunch is not provided for this program.
