GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—The Illinois Tech men’s tennis team drove out to Michigan on Saturday to take on the Knights of Calvin College in the afternoon. Tech (6-6) was victorious, downing the Knights (5-2) 5-4.
How It Happened
- The Scarlet Hawks second and third doubles tandems won decisive matches over their counterparts. Yousef Abdo and Adam Laitinen were awesome in an 8-2 win, while Brody Croonquist and Davis Housman won 8-3.
- In singles, Abdo led the way in the #2 spot with a tight 7-6, 0-6, 6-3 victory.
- Franklin Zhong was also victorious in #3, winning 6-3, 6-2. In #4, Housman dominated to the tune of a 6-1, 6-0 win.
