Whether you’ve been playing music for years or want to learn an instrument for the first time, Illinois Tech students can take courses at VanderCook College of Music. Join us for private lessons and an opportunity to play in the Symphonic Band, Concert Choir, Philharmonic Orchestra, or any of our other prestigious ensembles. Registration for Illinois Tech students interested in taking VanderCook classes is open now and continues into the first two weeks of the fall and spring semesters. Taking classes at VanderCook is not only fun and exciting, but it can serve as elective credits or earn you a music minor.

For the 2019–20 academic year, Illinois Tech has set the semesterly fee at $500 per semester. This fee covers private lessons on one instrument and as many other classes or ensembles as you would like to take. If you are interested in taking private lessons on more than one instrument in a given semester, you are permitted to do so; however, the fee will have to be paid twice.

Simply complete the Enrollment Form and complete the payment of $500  toward tuition; the university covers the rest. Stop by the VanderCook Admissions Office located at 3140 S. Federal Street, Room 210 or email admissionteam@vandercook.edu with your completed form and payment receipt. Registration ends Friday, September 6.

Additional information is available here.

Feel free to email our Admissions staff with any questions regarding courses at Admissionsteam@vandercook.edu.
