A Message Regarding Parking Access at Mies Campus

Dear University Community Members,

On Mies Campus, Illinois Tech has over (20) twenty parking lots supporting our commuters, resident students, and visitors. This update is intended to serve as a reminder to our ongoing community members, and clarification to our newer members.

To park a vehicle at Illinois Tech, parking permission is required. Permission is registered via MyParking for students, faculty, staff, and tenants. Selection and purchase of a parking permit is required to park on campus. Options include day passes, weekly, monthly, semester, academic year, and annual. You can visit MyParking to confirm whether you have an active permit. Online parking registration is ongoing. Semester, academic year, and annual permit fees are prorated based on the purchase date. Visitors and community members that prefer hourly parking utilize Mobile Pay. All parking permits are virtual and linked to your registered vehicle(s) in real-time upon purchase.

The HawkCard ID provides access to gated lots for registered permit holders. HawkCard access lots are now designated for semester, academic year, and annual permit holders only. Hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly parkers should park in the visitor lots. To support closer proximity to your vehicle during evenings, all permit holders may use the visitor lots every day from 4 p.m. – 7 a.m. as space is available.

Parking regulations designated by markings, signage or publication should be observed at all times. Please be especially mindful of spaces designated for persons with disabilities. The adjoining aisle access stalls should remain clear at all times. Additionally, take care to avoid parking in a manner that may obstruct pedestrian or vehicular traffic flow.
