STEP, the Supervisor Training and Education Program, is accepting applications for the new program year. STEP is the university’s program for managers that seek additional career growth. Through an 18-month commitment program participants learn about leadership, employment law, and best practices for managing others. The program culminates with the presentation of a capstone project that the cohort develops.

Program requirements include having at least six months of experience with Illinois Tech and managing at least one direct report. Applicants may self-nominate themselves for STEP, but a completed nomination form, letter of recommendation from their immediate manager, and their vice president or dean is required.

There is no cost to the participant or his/her department to enroll in STEP. Nominations will be accepted November 9 through Wednesday, December 6. Find the STEP nomination form on the HR Portal.
