Armour College of Engineering student Cheryl Lininger (EE, 4th year) was named a winner of the 50th Annual Writing Contest held by the Humanities Department at Lewis College of Human Sciences. Lininger was awarded second place in the Edwin H. Lewis Prize for Nonfiction for her submission: The Unconscious Glass Ceiling. She was awarded a plaque and prize at a luncheon on April 23 in the Welcome Center of The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC). This is Lininger’s second time being awarded in the Annual Writing Contest held by the Humanities Department. She was awarded third place in the Edwin H. Lewis Prize for Nonfiction in 2014 for her submission: The Fall of Equality.
