ARPA-E today announces up to $28 million in funding for a new program: Aerodynamic Turbines, Lighter and Afloat, with Nautical Technologies and Integrated Servo-control (ATLANTIS). ATLANTIS projects will develop new technologies for floating, offshore wind turbines using the discipline of control co-design.
The ATLANTIS funding opportunity encourages collaboration, calling on scientists, engineers, and practitioners from different disciplines, technology sectors, and organizations to form diverse and experienced project teams. ARPA-E projects are intended to facilitate scientific and technological discoveries that a single group alone would be unable to achieve. For more information on ARPA-E’s ATLANTIS program, click here. The deadline to submit a concept paper for ATLANTIS is 9:30 a.m. ET on March 18, 2019. The full FOA and information on how to find project teaming partners are available on ARPA-E’s online application portal, ARPA-E eXCHANGE.
If you are interesting in applying for this funding opportunity, please contact OSRP. Given the early deadline for this program proposals and routing sheets must be completed and submitted to OSRP no later than Thursday, March 13, 2019.
