Applications have been extended for IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law’s Solo and Small Practice Incubator (SSPI) 2013-14 program.
Designed to offer a select group of entrepreneurial-minded recent Chicago-Kent graduates with valuable experience and ongoing training to help build their professional careers as solo or small firm legal practitioners, the one-year program is intended to accelerate the successful development of newly admitted lawyers in an “incubator” environment. The deadline to submit applications is Thursday, October 10, 2013. Classes will begin in November.
Although there is no program fee, participants are required to spend five-10 hours per week (to be agreed upon by the participant and his/her faculty-mentor) on cases in the Law Offices of IIT Chicago-Kent, a teaching, fee-generating law firm that delivers legal services to the community and provides clinical education to students.
Applicants can download the 2013 application that provides more details about the program and requirements, the application process, and the application form. Participation is limited to a select group of recent IIT Chicago-Kent graduates, with priority given to members of the Class of 2013. For more information, contact Dawn Young.
