Please join us for the annual Be the Healing Conference that addresses topics of systemic racism, trauma, and healing. The conference convenes educators, social workers, housing advocates, health professionals, community activists, and community members that Public work with children and families in Chicago. It is designed to help develop your knowledge base and critical awareness of issues specifically impacting BIPOC youth and their families and refine your skills set to when addressing those issues.
This free conference will be conducted over two full-days at Conviser law Center (Chicago-Kent College of Law) on September 23 and 24 beginning at 9 a.m.
The morning presentations will be covered by the world-renowned content expert, Dr. Joy DeGruy, who will lead a conversation about intergenerational and historical trauma, mental health and improvement strategies through an inspirational and solution-oriented lens. Register here.
