Kaplan Institute’s Idea Shop is welcoming the holiday season with a DIY cutting board workshop! Take one home as a gift or keep it for yourself. Spots are limited so be sure to register today. This workshop is meant to be an introduction to woodworking, so no prior experience is required.
You will be using a variety of woodworking tools such as: table saw, routing table/router, planar, and more. Students will be guided through every step of the process.
Because of the nature of the woodworking process, this workshop includes two sessions. Attendance to both is mandatory. During the first session (Friday) we will be cutting our wood and gluing-up our pieces. During the second session (Monday), we will be finishing the cutting boards. The boards will be available for pickup any day after Tuesday, November 15. Students are encouraged to bring their own design or can follow some basic examples we have in the Idea Shop.
