Global Cuisine
You are cordially invited to dine in the Commons on special days for a culinary treat! The lunchtime program will introduce delicious meals from different regions of the world and also include a display table in the cafeteria showcasing spices, fruits, vegetables, and other items, including literature on spirituality, recipes, and more! Dates are noted below.

The only race is the human race and music is one accord that plays a significant role in our society. You are cordially invited to the “Music Moves the World” Welcome to Campus Mixer. The campus community is invited to share in your rhythm, passion, and pride through the diversity of music. At the program, colored wristbands will serve to identify your association with music such as composer, instrumentalist, or vocalist. You will also be able to share your favorite songs and culturally unique instruments, traditional songs, and rituals. We look forward to meeting you!

• Sheldon H. Nahmod Civil Rights Award—Wednesday, February 6 (details forthcoming)
• “Prince Among Slaves” (date forthcoming)
Prince Among Slaves recounts the true story of an African Muslim prince who was captured and sold into slavery in the American South. After 40 years of enslavement, he finally regained his freedom, became a national celebrity, and dined in the White House. This is an incredible story about an incredible man who endured the humiliation of slavery without ever losing his dignity or his hope for freedom.
