Campus Safety Awareness Week (events held March 25–29)
Join the Office of Community Standards and the Department of Public Safety during this week of programming to help create an inclusive and safe environment on the Illinois Tech campus. There will be multiple programs throughout this week. By participating in events, you may have a chance to win a prize at the end of the week!
Monday, March 25
Donuts and Coffee with Public Safety
Time: 12:30–2 p.m.
Location: The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC), Bridge
Description: Meet Public Safety officers and Chicago Police Department officers. There will be free donuts and coffee!
Tuesday, March 26
Bowling with the Patrol
Time: 6–8 p.m.
Location: Hermann Hall, The Bog
Description: Join Public Safety officers in a bowling game! Free food will also be available.
Wednesday, March 27
Bikes on Lock
Time: 12:30–2 p.m.
Location: The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC), Bridge
Description: As warmer weather is upon us, join Public Safety to learn how to keep your bikes safe on campus. Officers will have the types of locks needed to keep your bikes safe.
Thursday, March 28
Pronouns Are Not a Preference
Time: 12:30–2 p.m.
Location: The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC), Bridge
Description: Join Campus Life as we explore a variety of pronouns, myths surrounding pronouns, and how pronouns help us to feel safe. We will fill out a “pronoun practice” worksheet followed by decorating a cookie with your pronouns!

On the Bridge with Public Safety
Time: 12:30–2 p.m.
Location: The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC), Bridge
Description: Public Safety officers will be giving prizes to students who have been attending Campus Safety Awareness Week programs! The drawings will start at 1 p.m.
