Campus Safety Week Starts September 15

September 15 marks Campus Safety Week at Illinois Tech. Join key safety unites as we highlight the importance of preparedness, awareness, and resources available to keep our community.

  • Monday, September 15, 12:45–1:45 p.m., Siegel Hall, room 118: Build a Preparedness Kit. Learn how to build a personal emergency kit! Emergency Management will show what to include, why it matters, and how to customize it for home, work or on the go—so you leave ready for the unexpected.
  • Tuesday, September 16, 11 a.m.–1 p.m., MTCC Bridge: Safety Pop-Up. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to pop by the Campus Safety Pop-up to meet representatives from key university resources, ask questions, and learn more about safety initiatives happening across campus.
  • Tuesday, September 16, 12:45–1:45 p.m., Siegel Hall, room 118: CARES Team. Students and faculty are invited to learn about key support resources available to students, as well as CARE referrals and incident reporting. Discover how these tools can support student well-being and cultivate a safe, supportive campus community.
  • Wednesday, September 17, 12:45–1:45 p.m., Siegel Hall, room 118: Learn About Ombuds. Faculty and staff are invited to a session with the Ombudsperson! Discover how they provide confidential, impartial support for workplace challenges, learn about their role, and join an open Q&A.
  • Thursday, September 18, 12:45–1:45 p.m., Siegel Hall, room 118: Stop the Bleed. Learn lifesaving skills that could make all the difference in an emergency. This hands-on workshop teaches you how to control severe bleeding and provide critical help until first responders arrive. Be prepared to save a life!
