Tuesday, March 10
Take It to the Bridge
noon-2 p.m., McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Bridge
Career Services staff members will have a table on the MTCC Bridge from noon-2 p.m. on Tuesday. Come by and pick up workshop descriptions, learn about services offered, and ask about strategies to prepare for jobs, internships, and more. Students and alumni are both welcome to take advantage of these services.
Wednesday, March 11
Co-ops and Internships
5-5:45 p.m., Perlstein Hall, Room 109
Developed and led by Career Services and International Center staff, this workshop provides information on how to apply to co-ops and internships and how to make sure students are in compliance with federal law and immigration regulations. This workshop is mandatory for all students participating in a co-op or internship.

30-Second Elevator Pitch
4-4:45 p.m., Perlstein Hall, Room 109
This workshop is designed to help you know what to say to employers to sell your skills, settle your nerves, and put you in the mindset of an employer. Attend this workshop and show employers that you have prepared to showcase yourself concisely and professionally.

Making the Most of Career Fairs
1-1:45 p.m., Perlstein Hall, Room 108
What do you hope to get out of attending career fairs, Career Connections, and professional or informal networking events? This workshop will help you define how to get valuable results from these events, and what you should do to prepare for them. Some topics include: creating a strong resume, how to craft an elevator pitch, ways to research companies before meeting with their recruiters, what kinds of questions to ask, how to best use social media like LinkedIn, and how to network effectively. Attend this workshop to learn how to stand out to employers at the next career fair or networking event.
