Take It to the Bridge
noon-2:00 p.m., The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Bridge
Career Services staff members will have a table on the MTCC Bridge. Come by and pick up workshop descriptions, learn about services offered, and ask about strategies to prepare for jobs, internships, and more. Students and alumni are both welcome to take advantage of these services.
Wednesday, April 8
Internships and Co-ops
5.-5:45 p.m., Perlstein Hall, Room 131
Developed and led by Career Services and International Center staff, this workshop provides information on how to apply to co-ops and internships and how to make sure students are in compliance with federal law and immigration regulations. This workshop is mandatory for all students participating in a co-op or internship.

The Art of Networking
4-4:45 p.m., Perlstein Hall, Room 109
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 70% of employment opportunities are obtained through networking. If you are a job seeker, you are no doubt researching jobs and applying to positions online. Beyond these strategies, networking is a great way to get a foot in the door for employment opportunities. When used well, networking can help you create a stronger resume and give you an edge in an interview. Attend this workshop to learn specific strategies to market yourself well.

30-Second Elevator Pitch
1-1:45 p.m., Siegel Hall, Room 202
This workshop, open to current students and alumni, is designed to help you know what to say to employers to sell your skills, settle your nerves, and put you in the mindset of an employer. Attend this workshop and show employers that you have prepared to showcase yourself concisely and professionally.
