Sensors convert real-world data into readily accessible information that benefits society and improves quality of life
through a cleaner environment, safer food, more efficient energy usage, and more effective treatment of diseases. Sensor
development is an exciting and dynamic field that is highly interdisciplinary across the areas of chemistry, biology, physics, engineering, signal processing and electronics. Along with our newly developed Sensor Science and Technology M.S. program, we are excited to hear from two eminent speakers in this field: Professors Yi Lu and John A. Rogers. The legacy left by Martin and Mary Kilpatrick has continued to inspire innovative teaching and creative research at Illinois Tech.
