Community-Engaged Research Seminar: Pipeline to Funding

This 4-hour seminar series targets early-career investigators or more seasoned investigators who wish to add community-engaged research onto an existing project. Attendees affiliated with the Institute of Translational Medicine will receive assistance with developing community partnerships and be eligible to apply for $25,000 pilot awards beginning in fall 2023. Those not affiliated with the Institute of Translational Medicine are still eligible to apply and be a part of this training series.

Sessions will be held virtually from 8–9 a.m. on the following Fridays: May 12, May 19, May 26, and June 2.

  • Session 1: Intro to community-engaged research (May 12, 8–9 a.m.)
  • Session 2: Early stages of developing community partnerships (May 19, 8–9 a.m.)
  • Session 3: Communicating with community partners (May 26, 8–9 a.m.)
  • Session 4: Engaging the community throughout the research process (June 2, 8–9 a.m.)
