Dr. Katie Spink Assumes the Presidency of CAAHP

At the recent biennial meeting of the CAAHP (Central Association of Advisors for the Health Professions) Dr. Katie Spink, Director of the Pre-Health Professions and Teaching Professor of Biology, was elevated to President of the organization. The gavel was passed from Chris Hamilton to Katie during the organizational business meeting.  CAAHP is an organization that brings admissions personnel from medical, dental and other health professions schools together with undergraduate advisors, test prep and other support entities, and students, to build a community of culturally competent advisors committed to the holistic development of students in their path towards becoming a healthcare professional.  The organization is led by the board of directors with Dr. Spink now serving as President.
