Join Illinois Tech, the Office of Community Affairs, Master of Landscape Architecture + Urbanism program, Chicago Botanic Garden (Project Budburst and Stewardship and Ecology of Natural Areas Internship Program), the African-American Alumni Association and the Alphawood Arboretum for Park(ing) Day on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Nate Thomas Budburst Garden, 33rd Street and Michigan Avenue.

Park(ing) Day is an international, public, participatory project where people across the world temporarily transform curbside parking spaces and convert them into public parks and social spaces to encourage safer, greener, and more equitable streets for the community members.

• 1–2:30 p.m.: Budburst Citizen Science Workshop
• 2:30–5 p.m.: Garden work and hangout time
• 5–5:30 p.m.: Remarks
• 5–7 p.m.: Free BBQ and Music
