Former Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus (CE ′61, Hon. Ph.D. ′99) met with Bob Carlson, dean of IIT School of Applied Technology, and Nerijus Pacesa, president of ISM University of Management and Economics, in Vilnius, Lithuania, to discuss joint master and bachelor degree offerings with IIT SAT. IIT President John Anderson had been contacted about the possibility of joint programs and Carlson traveled to Lithuania to discuss the details, including the use of IIT’s Distance Learning facilities to deliver courses from IIT to the Lithuanian campuses.
