Get excited! The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the 2024-2025 academic year will be available to complete by December 31, 2023.
In preparation for the release of the FAFSA, consider the following:
- Determine who is a contributor to your FAFSA and gather the information needed so you can invite them to complete and sign their section of the FAFSA, which includes the following:
- Legal name* (from their Social Security Card);
- Date of birth*;
- Social Security Number (SSN*) if they have one;
- Mailing address** if they don’t have an SSN; and
- Email address
- If your contributor(s) does not have an FSA ID, they should create their account now. Contributors who do not have a Social Security Number will be able to establish an FSA ID by the time the FAFSA launches.
- Gather the information required to complete the FAFSA, which includes 2022 federal tax information for you and your Contributor(s).
Don’t delay and start preparing for the release for 2024-2025 FAFSA today!
