The Study Abroad Office has announced that all three IIT students who applied for a Gilman International Scholarship to study abroad this summer have been awarded scholarships. The Gilman Scholarship Program received more than 3,000 applications and awarded 1,100 scholarships, which is the largest number of summer awards to date.
Anthony Hicks (Computer Science) is planning to study in China in the Council on International Educational Exchange: Shanghai Summer Accelerated Language Course. Hicks was also awarded a scholarship from CIEE.
Jermiron Morris (Industrial Technology and Management) is planning to study in Shanghai, China in the USAC: Chinese Language and International Business Studies program.
Elliot Osorio (Biomedical Engineering) is planning to study in Tokyo, Japan in the CIEE: Summer Japanese Studies. Osorio was also awarded a scholarship from CIEE.
