This presentation discusses economic development policy facing the burgeoning entrepreneurship ecosystem research to understand how entrepreneurship ecosystems are different from regional innovation systems and clusters given that both frameworks have been vastly popular among economic development policymakers. This talk will introduce the key findings in the entrepreneurship ecosystem research that can guide economic development policymaking and provide implications of how economic development policy should be adjusted under the entrepreneurship ecosystem approach. And the ongoing debate on the geographical boundaries of entrepreneurship ecosystems for economic development policy will be addressed
