All are invited to a seminar titled “Hot Topics in Internet Infrastructure Systems and Security” by John Kristoff, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Illinois Chicago. The talk will take place at Galvin Tower, room 1F6-1, at 11:25–12:40 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Abstract
In this talk we highlight some of active developments taking place in and around Internet infrastructure security, such as securing the routing system with the RPKI, or enhancing privacy and trust in naming with DNS over HTTPS and DNSSEC. We also consider the challenges presented by common abuse activity such as DDoS botnet attacks. A mix of real-world operational experience and research work brought by the presenter form the basis of insights and views.
